North Texas Community Foundation Reports
The North Texas Community Foundation is working to provide accessible, reliable data focusing on local children and identifying areas for the most critical intervention. We’ve collaborated with community partners to release the following reports.
Growing Up in North Texas: A Community Assessment for Tarrant County
This new tool makes it easier for civic, nonprofit and philanthropic leaders to develop programs and policies aimed at improving outcomes for local children at risk for poverty, neglect and abuse. It surfaces the top issues facing Tarrant County youth from birth to 18 and recommends key solutions. The report identifies family economic stability, literacy rates at third grade, infant mortality and child maltreatment as primary areas to focus attention.
The North Texas Community Foundation is partnering with area nonprofits to spotlight how local organizations are addressing the issues highlighted in Growing Up in North Texas. We invite you to participate in the #GrowingUpNTx Social Media Campaign.
State of Texas Children 2016: Race and Equity in Fort Worth
The State of Texas Children report is part of the Kids Count project, a national and state-by-state effort to track the status of children in the U.S. funded by the Annie E. Casey Foundation. The report shows that historical and current policies have created and maintained unequal opportunities and large disparities in child poverty across race, ethnicity and gender.
2016 Donor Perception Report of the Community Foundation
The North Texas Community Foundation recently engaged the Center for Effective Philanthropy to conduct an inaugural donor survey. Several donors participated giving anonymous feedback that has proven incredibly valuable as part of our ongoing efforts to evolve the Community Foundation.
