Hugh K. and Jeanne Roe Scholarship


A mathematics teacher and vice principal in Fort Worth, Texas, Hugh K. Roe and wife Jeanne Marie Peters Roe raised seven children. All seven graduated from Haltom High School and completed a college or graduate program. Teaching and education were very important to both Hugh and Jeanne; it was an integral part of their lives. This scholarship was established in 2002 to honor their devotion to education by providing assistance to a deserving student entering the teaching field.

The number and amount of scholarships are determined annually by the organization.

Funds may be used for:
Tuition, fees and books.

Geographic limitations:
Haltom High School – Haltom, TX


  • Graduating senior of HHS in good standing
  • Strong GPA
  • Plans to attend an accredited college or university

The deadline is determined annually by the Haltom High School scholarship committee. Please contact Shelly Knight in the counselor’s office for further details.

This scholarship is not renewable.

How to apply:
The application is available in the Haltom High School Guidance Counselor’s Office. After completing the application, turn it in to the Haltom High School Guidance Counselor’s Office.
