Funding Available for Animal Welfare, Land Conservation and Equine Therapy

The North Texas Community Foundation is seeking proposals for funding from nonprofit organizations to promote animal welfare and land conservation. Funding is available through the Anita Berry Martin Memorial Fund and the Helen D. and R. E. Wallace Foundation Fund. Last year $133,000 was awarded.

Funding is available for animal welfare projects in Tarrant and Johnson Counties. Funding is available for equine welfare, equine therapy, and land conservation in the following counties: Tarrant, Parker, Johnson, Young, Jack, Denton, Wise, Hood, Somervell, Bosque, and Hill.

Past animal welfare and equine therapy grantees include the Humane Society of North Texas, Freedom Horses, Parker County Sheriff’s Office Horse Rescue Fund, Saving Hope Foundation, Spay and Neuter Network, and Good Neighbor Animal Rescue.

Deadline to apply is November 10, 2017.
