The Foundation and its donors distributed a record $44 million in grants in 2022

North Texas Community Foundation announced today that it awarded a record-breaking $44 million to nonprofit organizations in 2022, more than any previous year in the Foundation’s 41-year history. 1,150 organizations received funding for their work in North Texas and beyond.

“At a time when financial market fluctuations have created uncertainty, we are humbled by the incredible generosity of our donors,” said Rose Bradshaw, president & CEO of North Texas Community Foundation. “Our donors are making an extra effort to ensure that everyone has the opportunity to thrive.”

While the bulk of grants were recommended by donors to support their favorite charities, over $1 million was distributed through the Foundation’s community grant cycles. These grant cycles are collectively supported by NTCF’s donors and local private foundations to fund nonprofit capacity building, children and families, animals, the arts, environmental conservation, racial equity and more.

The Foundation ended 2022 with total assets of $455 million. New donors opened 22 new charitable funds, and the Foundation received new gifts totaling $40 million, which will fuel future investment in our community. The Foundation serves a network of over 275 individuals, families and businesses.

“While our 2022 numbers deserve celebration, it is the stories of impact made by each dollar gifted or granted that paint the full picture of our work,” continued Bradshaw. “We are honored to support such extraordinary progress in our community. Thank you to the donors and community we serve for allowing us to be your partner.”
