The North Texas Community Foundation invites you to join us for breakfast and a special presentation titled “Charitable Giving After the 2017 Tax Act: A Contrarian’s Point of View” by Ramsay Slugg, Managing Director & Wealth Strategist from the National Wealth Planning Strategies Group at U.S. Trust. Ramsay is a nationally recognized expert in estate and tax planning strategies, with a particular specialization in charitable giving by ultra high net worth families and individuals.

The event is FREE to attend, but you must register in order to reserve your seat.

The Community Foundation’s INSIGHTS for Professional Advisors is designed to connect professional advisors such as CPAs, attorneys, wealth managers, insurance specialists and others with experts in various fields/specialties.

WORTH: The Next Generation of Philanthropists
“Dreams & Tacos” Site Visit
Wednesday, May 16, 2018

In March, WORTH members granted $24,500 to Dream Outside The Box for “Operation Dream Desert” and Fortress Youth Development Center to furnish a preschool classroom. At this first site visit, members will see Dream Outside The Box’s work up close.

Taco Diner to follow with appetizers generously provided by Aspen Wealth Management.

WORTH: The Next Generation of Philanthropists
“Construction & Chow Down” Site Visit
Tuesday, June 5, 2018

In March, WORTH members granted $24,500 to Dream Outside The Box for “Operation Dream Desert” and Fortress Youth Development Center to furnish a preschool classroom. Members will roll up their sleeves and help assemble the classroom at Fortress YDC that the grant funded at their second site visit to end the year.

Dinner will be provided.

North Texas Giving Day – Thursday, September 20th
Fort Worth Giving Day Event – Wednesday, September 19th

Thursday, September 20, 2018 marks the 10 year anniversary of North Texas Giving Day. For the Fort Worth celebration, NTxCF will host a kick-off concert on Wednesday, September 19th at Shipping & Receiving. We encourage our fundholders and their families to come out to share in the light-hearted celebration with Tarrant County nonprofits and encourage a strong start to Thursday’s big Giving Day push.

INSIGHTS for Donors
Wednesday, October 24th

Join us for a conversation around understanding the importance of having giving conversations with your children & grandchildren. Donors will leave armed with impact stories and tactics to hold conversations and bridge the generational gap.

Guest speaker, Danielle Oristian York, Managing Director of 21/64, is a speaker, consultant, and trainer and works with those who seek to change the future through a strategic and operational exploration of values and identity. She is an internationally recognized expert on multigenerational and next generation philanthropy and family decision making and works with individuals, families, and organizations in this capacity.
