North Texas Community Foundation and its fundholders are celebrating the Foundation’s 45th anniversary with a historic achievement: a record-breaking $67.4 million in grants were awarded in 2025. This milestone surpasses the Foundation’s previous grantmaking record by more than $20 million.
Since its inception in 1981, the Foundation and its donors have granted more than $550 million to organizations in North Texas and beyond.
“This record year is a direct reflection of our fundholders’ generosity. We are honored to steward their philanthropy and help bring their intentions to life,” said Rose Bradshaw, president & CEO of North Texas Community Foundation. “Reaching this level of community impact in our 45th anniversary year is especially meaningful.”
Among the highlights are:
- Aggie and non-Aggie (!) fundholders stepped up to invest in Texas A&M’s new Fort Worth campus, bringing Tier One research and innovation to downtown Fort Worth.
- The Helen D. and R.E. (Bob) Wallace Fund granted $1 million to expand the Humane Society of North Texas’s Equine Ranch in Johnson County, the only large-scale facility in North Texas dedicated to rescuing, rehabilitating and rehoming at-risk horses.
- Generous NTCF fundholders helped grant $225,000 to local food banks and pantries at Thanksgiving, helping families across North Texas have reliable access to nutritious meals.
- The BEACON Fund granted a total of $590,000 to support organizations working to improve the quality of life in historically disinvested neighborhoods in Tarrant County.
- A $500,000 gift from Beverly Ray’s estate supported the Fort Worth Botanic Garden’s new master plan, advancing its vision for education, conservation, and community enrichment.
The Foundation closed 2025 with total assets exceeding $709 million. New donors opened 43 new charitable funds, and the Foundation received gifts totaling $174 million, positioning it to fuel even greater philanthropic investment in the years ahead. Today, the Foundation holds more than 400 charitable funds for individuals, families and businesses across its 11-county region.
