Better Together Fund
Respond | Recover | Restore
The Better Together Fund rapidly deploys resources to community-based organizations
serving those who have been the hardest hit by disasters in our community.
About the Better Together Fund
Housed at North Texas Community Foundation, the Fund makes grants to nonprofits that are working on the frontlines to provide our region’s most vulnerable communities with emergency assistance, such as financial support, nutrition, healthcare, and childcare.
The Fund is prioritizing organizations responding to the crisis by delivering critical services where the need is greatest, including:
- Low-income families and individuals
- People experiencing homelessness
- Healthcare/first responders
- Senior Citizens
- Other vulnerable populations, including veterans, displaced hospitality workers, those at risk of domestic violence, suffering from addiction or experiencing mental health issues
The Fund complements the work of public health officials and expands local capacity to address community needs. 100% of all funds donated are directed to support disaster relief.
The Fund is not able to provide grants to individuals, but focuses on funding community-based organizations that
have experience and history of providing people and families with services and support. If you are an individual seeking assistance, please consider 211, the City of Fort Worth Resource Page and Tarrant County Resource page.

Information for Nonprofits
Grants are made by the North Texas Community Foundation grants committee, an independent body comprised of community leaders, fundholders and board members, on a rolling basis. As fundraising continues through the outbreak and recovery phases of the crisis, the Fund will adapt to meet emerging needs as the situation evolves.
