When donors come together to support smart solutions, big things happen. Thanks to the generosity of 29 donor advisors and local private foundations, the ToolBox Grants Program at the North Texas Community Foundation is strengthening organizations serving our most vulnerable neighborhoods.

In 2018, ToolBox investors empowered the North Texas Community Foundation to award $316,000 in grants to 33 area nonprofits. The current grant cycle builds the capacity of nonprofits serving seven Tarrant County neighborhoods experiencing the highest levels of poverty, including Las Vegas Trail, Como, Northside, Morningside, East Seminary, Stop Six and East-Central Arlington.

Families living in these neighborhoods are disproportionately affected by a lack of access to education, health, income and employment resources. By building the capacity of nonprofits serving these communities, the Community Foundation and its donors are strengthening services to improve the lives of local families.
