Responding to Central Texas Flooding: Where to Give

In the wake of the devastating floods that struck Kerr County and surrounding areas, we’ve received an enormous amount of inquiries from donors and community partners asking how they can help.

North Texas Community Foundation is mobilizing support in two important ways and we encourage others to join us in these efforts.

1. Give to the Kerr County Flood Relief Fund

We are directing support to the Kerr County Flood Relief Fund, established by our trusted partners at the Community Foundation of the Texas Hill Country. This fund is directing resources to vetted organizations providing rescue, relief, and recovery efforts, as well as flood assistance. The Foundation is based in Kerrville and is best-positioned to ensure that funds are directed to trusted, on-the-ground organizations.

Currently, all contributions made through a donor advised fund are eligible for a $75,000 matching opportunity. If you have a DAF at North Texas Community Foundation, you can make a gift through the My NTCF Fund portal and have your donation doubled.

Not a fundholder? You can still support the effort by making a credit card donation directly through the Community Foundation of the Texas Hill Country’s online giving page.

2. Deploying the Fleetwood Memorial Foundation Fund

In addition, NTCF’s Fleetwood Memorial Foundation Fund is ready to provide direct financial assistance to the families of first responders who may be injured or killed in the line of duty as part of the flood response. As emergency personnel continue to put themselves in harm’s way to assist in rescue and recovery, this fund offers a way to support heroes and their families.
