Rapidly mobilizing grants strengthens a community in crisis
The Better Together Fund, launched in 2020, has granted more than $1 million to support projects focusing on community recovery, including education, workforce development, service industry support, medical and mental health care, and other basic needs.
With the support of generous donors, the Fund rapidly mobilized grants to 39 organizations addressing the effects of the pandemic and winter storm of 2021 — setting us on the path to economic recovery. In the months and years ahead, the Fund will be used to quickly deploy funds as needed in times of crisis.
“After the troubled times brought on by the pandemic, the winter storm in February 2021 hit struggling families hard. The Better Together grant allowed us to go above and beyond to support our clients.” — Staci Markwardt, CEO, Parker County Center of Hope
